It ought to be difficult to rave about a root-canal procedure, but here I go! From the pre-appointment phone call, to checking out, every touch point is a pleasure. When I was on the phone verifying my information, I did not have my dental insurance with me because I was driving. The friendly lady at the office cheerfully told me that she’d call my regular dentist to get it. Check in is a breeze and they are actually nice, fun, and funny! That’s not the normal culture of the doctor’s office front desk (Insert slow eye-roll and snippy instructions). The same was true throughout the visit. Ms. Sandra was the tech who assisted the Doctor. She put me at ease, which was not easy. I have been shot, cut, blown up, stabbed, and even chewed up by an escalator (long story), and otherwise beaten like a rented mule, but dental procedures are my kryptonite. Then his expertise, active listening, and calming nature made the encounter even better and more fun! Technically, they provide a “SERVICE” that most people don’t want. But, they elevate this service into an “EXPERIENCE” that you enjoy! Now that’s saying something when someone is drilling holes into your head. It’s kind of like comparing Jet Blue Airlines to Air Emirates Airlines; Jet Blue gets you there, (eventually), while Air Emirates makes you wish you’d never arrive. If you have to go to Ormond Endodontics, and you probably do if you’re reading this, embrace it and let them take you by the hand and guide you through what they do so artfully.

Strap in because this might be long. I've been to many dentists and endodontists and this was by far the best experience I've had getting not so fun work done to my mouth.
I was referred to Dr. Westbrook by Dr. Coopers office because of two different teeth that needed root canals. One already had a root canal some years ago that had an infection, then the other tooth had an abscess above it because of how bad the infection was.
The first round of compliments should address how timely they were able to get me in for everything. From the exam, to the actual dental work, I only needed to wait a few days to a week for each appointment.
Then meeting with Dr. Westbrook was a breath of fresh air, to say the least.
He's younger than most doctors (which isn't an issue for me, since we are around the same age) and when I tell you he listened to my concerns, I mean, he LISTENED.
I am beyond terrified of dental work and he made me feel more comfortable than I have ever been in a dental chair. His bedside manner is second to none. You can tell how much he cares by his delivery in the things he says, as well as how he explains things. There was not one time in either of my two root canals where I was not confident in what was happening, or what Dr. Westbrook was doing because of the level of communication, care, compassion, and understanding he exudes prior, during, and after treatment. I even had to reschedule one of my appointments twice because of a very stressful week and even after that, he was kind and understanding.
Aside from his bedside manner, his skill as a craftsman is equally as impressive. He is thorough, tenacious, tedious, and particular. He made sure I was numb for each part of each procedure. There were a couple of times I ended up feeling some sort of sensation after the numbness started wearing off and he was quick to stop what he was doing so we could reassess if I needed more numbing or not.
The one sentence I would use to sum this up is, I trust him completely. He is one of those people you meet and think to yourself,
"Wow, people like this actually exist?"
Dr. Westbrook: As long as you are doing this type of work, I will always use you for your services. Thank you so much for essentially saving me from the infections I was dealing with. I cannot thank you enough.

I had a bad tooth that normally would be extracted, but years of Zometa made that dangerous. The dental surgeon referred me to Dr. Westbrook who developed a plan to resolve my problem. From the moment I walked in the staff was welcoming, kind and efficient. Dr. Westbrook took the time to explain the procedure and made sure I was completely numb before starting. I honestly didn't feel a thing! If you need an endodontist this is the place to go. Highly recommended!
